these are USP Type 1 borosilicate glass that have been treated to remove trace levels of sodium in the glass surface. This results in a higher quality of glass which poses less pH shift (sodium is an alkaline metal which can raise pH of a liquid in untreated vials).
Appropriate washing, rinsing and sterilizing, if required, must be performed by the customer and end user. These 3mL serum vials are NON-STERILE.
