Nalgene PES Syringe Filters are certified sterile, non-cytotoxic and non-pyrogenic. They have a polyethersulfone (PES) membrane, modified acrylic plastic housing and come sterile in individually blister-packed units, 50 per box. The inlet is a female Luer-Lok® and the outlet is a male Luer-Slip. Green polypropylene ring.
Polyethersulfone (PES) membranes are highly recommended for filtering cell culture media.
PES has both very low protein binding and extractables. PES also demonstrates faster flow
rates than cellulosic or nylon membranes.
